Chappell Roan's ascent in the music world is undeniable, but Hollywood's allure hasn't quite captivated her in the same way as she would rather get 'arrested' than acting in a movie.

AceShowbiz - Chappell Roan, pop music's latest sensation, is riding high on the success of her debut album, "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess." This album has catapulted her to stardom, securing the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200, right behind the giant, Taylor Swift.
With hits like "Good Luck Babe" and renowned performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball, Roan's presence in the music industry is undeniable. Recently, she was even nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards' best new artist and is a potential contender for the Grammy in the same category.
With such impressive accolades, it's no surprise that Hollywood has come knocking. Yet, in a candid conversation with "Saturday Night Live" cast member Bowen Yang for Interview magazine, Roan revealed that she's been turning down multiple acting offers.
"I say this with peace, and love, and blessings. Actors are f***ing crazy," she told Yang. Roan elaborated that the film industry freaks her out, despite originally wanting to use her music career as a stepping stone into acting.
"I've been asked in the past couple of weeks, like, 'You want the lead in XYZ?' and I'm like, 'No'... Literally, no," she admitted. Moving to Los Angeles and experiencing the acting industry firsthand quickly changed her mind.
"The industry is legitimately so scary, and it is so out of my control," Roan shared. She finds solace in the autonomy music provides, as it allows her to put out content whenever she desires, without waiting for a casting director's approval.
For now, Roan is steering clear of Hollywood, but she hasn't shut the door on it entirely. She hinted that a potential role would have to be "really specific and really silly." She even entertained the idea of doing a cameo, albeit reluctantly.
"I've been trained how to act, but it's the most stressful thing in the world to me," she confessed. "I would rather get arrested because I know how to operate myself in jail … Yeah. It would really have to be the right thing and the right timing."
Roan's decision to prioritize her music might seem surprising given her initial aspirations, but it's clear that she's found her niche. As she continues to dominate the music scene, her fans can look forward to more chart-topping hits and unforgettable performances. For Hollywood, it looks like they'll have to wait a bit longer to see Roan grace the big screen.
