AceShowbiz - It's the end of an era for another beloved celebrity couple. Sara Foster, 43, and Tommy Haas, 46, have officially separated after 14 years together. The couple, who share two daughters - 13-year-old Valentina and 8-year-old Josephine - are focusing their energies on co-parenting, according to sources close to them.
The couple's relationship history is a blend of highs and lows. They were unified by their common goals between 2010 and 2024, yet faced numerous disputes.
Foster had previously highlighted their differences, noting disagreements over "mattress firmness, temperature in the bedroom, amount of screen time for kids, what language to speak in the house, movies, food (I hate sushi), and a million other things." These minor conflicts perhaps forecasted larger issues.
The rift between them became public on Valentine's Day in 2021, when Foster took to Instagram to call out Haas for liking photos of bikini-clad women. "Happy Valentine's Day to the guy that hasn't figured out yet that 'likes' are public," she wrote, sharing screenshots of his actions.
Haas responded in jest, revealing that she had also liked a shirtless photo of "The Bachelorette" alum Tyler Cameron. Despite these playful jabs, the underlying tension was palpable.
Foster's childhood experiences also played a role in shaping her views on marriage. During a 2023 podcast appearance, she discussed growing up with a father who had been married five times.
"Looking back, I guess I didn't grow up respecting marriage. I grew up thinking it doesn't mean anything - you just walk away, you cheat, you go to this person you go to, that person," she explained on the "We Met at Acme" podcast. This contributed to her foundational perception of marriage as something less stable and more ephemeral.
In their more amicable moments, the duo shared humorous yet telling insights. After a 14-day quarantine at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Foster joked they had run out of things to argue about, resulting in disputes over their Peloton bike. Despite their myriad disagreements, they presented a united front on some issues, such as advocating for mask-wearing during the pandemic.
While neither Foster nor Haas have publicly addressed their split, close sources emphasize that they remain devoted to co-parenting Valentina and Josephine. Their journey from a whirlwind romance to a cordial separation offers a poignant reminder that even enduring relationships can face insurmountable hurdles.
As they step into this new chapter, the focus remains on their daughters' well-being, illustrating that familial love transcends even the most challenging personal changes.
