AceShowbiz - YG did not throw shade at his girlfriend Saweetie despite their recent heated argument. The "Who Do You Love?" rapper has denied speculation that he made bombshell allegations against his boo, which were spurred by his recent social media post.
On Tuesday, August 13, the Compton native took to his Instagram Story to send a cryptic message. The post in question featured just two simple emojis, a lion and a cheetah. This led to speculation that he alluded to Saweetie lying and cheating on him.
However, YG has claimed that the speculation couldn't be further from the truth. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday to clarify the meaning of his Story. "I was at the zoo wit my kids. stop the kap," he stated.
People, however, refused to believe YG's explanation and alleged that he backtracked on his earlier claims. "One thing he gon do is smoke backwoods and lie," one commenter wrote. Another said, "Cap but thaw was a good cover up."
A third penned, "Now you owe those babies a trip to the zoo fr." Another remarked, "Not lying on the kids." Weighing on YG and Saweetie's relationship, one other speculated, "When you know you not done w that girl & regret bring y'all business to the socials."
YG's interesting social media posts came after he and Saweetie got into an altercation over weekend. On Saturday, authorities were called to their home following loud, audible screaming and shouting, presumably overheard by a concerned neighbor.
Law enforcement sources revealed that the intense skirmish was over some drama related to each other's cell phones. The police arrived promptly, separating the couple to defuse the situation. Luckily, after speaking with both parties, authorities confirmed that there was no physical altercation, noting that "it was just an argument ... albeit a loud one."
