The 'Freaky Friday 2' star has been named a Disney Legend during the D23 Expo, along with other notable artists including Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett and Miley Cyrus.

AceShowbiz - On Sunday, August 11 during the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Disney bestowed legendary status upon 14 artists whose contributions have significantly impacted the company's legacy. Among the honorees was Jamie Lee Curtis, who was presented with her award by Lindsay Lohan and Jodie Foster. Foster described Curtis as "inventive, fearless, and full of surprises," while Curtis herself expressed gratitude for the nurturing and education that had shaped her as a legend.
Curtis has starred in several Disney projects, including "Beverly Hills Chihuahua", "[n=You Again]" and "Haunted Mansion". She is currently filming "Freaky Friday 2". a sequel to the 2003 film she starred in alongside Lohan.
Other notable honorees included Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett and Miley Cyrus, who became the youngest recipient of the Legends honor. Ford, known for his roles in "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars", thanked Disney CEO Bob Iger for his guidance and friendship. Bassett, who has appeared in "Black Panther" and "9-1-1", praised Disney for its consistent employment over her 34-year career. Cyrus, who rose to fame with the Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana", has enjoyed a successful music career, winning her first Grammy Award in 2024.
The ceremony also honored six behind-the-scenes creatives who have contributed to groundbreaking films, art, and Disney experiences. These included costume designer Colleen Atwood, animator Mark Henn, comics artist Steve Ditko, puppeteer and filmmaker Frank Oz, longtime Disney manager Martha Blanding, and Imagineer Joe Rohde.
Previous Disney Legends include Elton John, Steve Jobs, Betty White, Dick Van Dyke, Robert Downey Jr., and Whoopi Goldberg. The program, established in 1987, now boasts over 300 honorees.
