In the wake of a foiled terror attempt targeting Taylor Swift's shows amid the European leg of her tour, friend and fellow actress, Blake Lively, weighs in on the 'terrifying' incident.

AceShowbiz - Blake Lively is reacting to the terrorist plot planned for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Earlier this week, the 34-year-old "Cruel Summer" singer had to cancel her three concerts scheduled to take place in Vienna after several men were arrested in an ISIS-connected terrorist plot.

While on the press tour for her new movie "It Ends With Us," Blake, 36, responded to the terrifying news. She expressed her horror to Access Hollywood, saying, "Oh, my gosh. I mean, how terrifying. But thank goodness that they are completely on top of that."

In response to the canceled concerts, Taylor Swift and Disney surprised Austrian fans with a special opportunity to witness the Eras Tour in a different light. Disney teamed up with cable station ORF to air the Disney+ film "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)" as a free TV premiere in Austria on Saturday night, Aug. 10.

Additionally, Disney+ is offering a limited-time, free seven-day trial of its premium service starting on the same date for those who wish to stream the movie.

The arrests, made on August 7, involved two men who were connected to the planned attack on Swift's Vienna shows scheduled for August 8, 9, and 10. This was quickly followed by the arrest of a third suspect the next day. Local authorities confirmed that the arrests thwarted plans involving explosives and knives, as the suspects aimed to cause mass casualties at the concerts.

Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of Austria's Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, held a news conference on August 8, saying, "His aim was to kill himself and a large number of people during the concert either today or tomorrow." This revelation was made on the day of the first scheduled show.

While Taylor Swift has not addressed the situation publicly, her management announced the cancellation of the shows, prioritizing the safety of fans.

In past interviews, Swift has admitted her fear of such attacks, referencing the tragic events at Ariana Grande's Manchester concert and Jason Aldean's performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.

Swift told ELLE in 2019, "After the Manchester Arena bombing and the Vegas concert shooting, I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn't know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months."

Despite these challenges, the planning, expense, and efforts put into the safety of Swift's concerts remain a priority, ensuring her fans can enjoy the magic of her performances securely.
