AceShowbiz - Disney's live-action remake of its classic 1937 animated film, "Snow White", has finally been unveiled with a highly-anticipated teaser at Disney's D23 fan event in Anaheim, California. The film, directed by Marc Webb, stars Rachel Zegler as the iconic titular character and Gal Gadot as the villainous Evil Queen.

"Magic mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all?" Gadot's chilling question marks the trailer, giving audiences their first glimpse of her transformation from Wonder Woman to the wicked stepmother. Embracing the lavish look true to the original animation, Gadot dons a tall, pointy crown, a hair-concealing headpiece, and a purple dress with billowy sleeves.

Gal Gadot shared her excitement about her villainous role during a panel discussion at D23, saying, "It was a lot of fun to get to do something completely different than anything I've ever done before... She's delicious, she's evil, she's magical, I got to sing all these different songs - it was incredible."

Meanwhile, Rachel Zegler, known for her starring roles in "West Side Story" and "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes", embodies the purity and grace of Snow White. This opportunity is nothing short of "the honor of a lifetime," she revealed.

Zegler also performs "Whistle While You Work," creating a nostalgic connection to the 1937 film originally sung by voice actress Adriana Caselotti.

The film keeps the beloved characters of Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy, offering glimpses of them dancing with Snow White in their cozy cottage. Additionally, new characters like Jonathan, portrayed by Andrew Burnap, and Maple, played by Dujonna Gift, add layers to the timeless story.

Screenwriters Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson have expanded upon the original tale from the Brothers Grimm, infusing it with fresh storytelling elements. The new songs by Oscar-winning and Tony-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul promise to add a magical musical touch to the film.

Gal Gadot took the role seriously, aiming to bring depth and complexity to the Evil Queen. "I wanted to make sure that we keep her delightful and delicious, and we understand what makes her tick. Then the evilness is interesting and not just flat," she explained. Gadot also noted the unique dynamic between her character and Zegler's, describing it as a "mother-daughter relationship in a weird way."

The camaraderie on set was palpable, with Gadot emphasizing the positive atmosphere. "We all stayed and it was just a wonderful, commune type of atmosphere on set. When you have this good chemistry between everybody it really shows onscreen."

Set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025, Disney's "Snow White" reimagining is poised to captivate both new and old fans with its blend of nostalgia and fresh, enchanting storytelling.
