Disney's Pixar will release its new film 'Elio' in summer 2025 and take moviegoers on an interplanetary adventure featuring Zoe Saldana as one of the major characters.

AceShowbiz - Pixar announced new movie "Elio" at the 2023 D23 Expo, introducing a young boy named Elio who is inadvertently transported to a interplanetary organization known as the Communiverse. Mistakenly identified as Earth's ambassador to the galaxy, Elio must navigate alien lifeforms, trials, and self-discovery.
Zoe Saldana joins the voice cast as Elio's aunt. At D23, she expressed her connection to the character and the importance of family representation on screen. The voice cast also includes America Ferrera, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, and Jonas Kibreab as Elio.
Directed by Adrian Molina, co-director of "Coco," "Elio" will be released on June 13, 2025, after being postponed from its original 2024 date. Despite a setback with "Lightyear" in 2023, Pixar's recent success with "Inside Out 2" bodes well for the upcoming sci-fi adventure.
