Disney's 'Zootopia 2' expands its animal kingdom with the addition of reptiles, including a mysterious venomous snake named Gary, played by the Oscar winner.

AceShowbiz - Walt Disney Animation Studios has unveiled the first footage and details of "Zootopia 2", the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 blockbuster. Ginnifer Goodwin, the voice of Judy Hopps, announced the addition of Ke Huy Quan to the cast as Gary, a reptile described as "creepy, slithery, [and] highly venomous."
The film will see the return of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), who will face their most perilous and intricate case yet. The mysterious reptile, Gary, has arrived in Zootopia, turning the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town.
"Zootopia 2" will explore more of the vast animal planet, introducing new species alongside fan favorites from the first film. The D23 exclusive clip showcased a bustling Marsh Market, filled with colorful semi-aquatic animals and plenty of animal hijinks.
Director Jared Bush, who also penned the screenplay, promises that Judy and Nick's partnership will be tested like never before. The film is set to hit theaters on November 26, 2025, and brings back Jennifer Lee and Yvett Merino as producers.
Disney+ previously released "Zootopia+", an anthology miniseries featuring side characters from the Zootopia universe. The first Zootopia film won the Oscar for Best Animated Film and grossed over $1 billion worldwide, making it one of Disney's highest-grossing animated films of all time.
