The 'All Too Well' hitmaker finds herself in hot water after releasing new 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Live From Stockholm)' digital albums despite the original set's success.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has received mixed comments on her new digital album release. The "All Too Well" hitmaker was met with backlash after launching "THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Live From Stockholm)".

On Thursday, July 11, the 34-year-old superstar became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter. It was reported that she has unleashed the new digital albums that come with bonus tracks. The digital albums allegedly are "available until tonight at 11:59 P.M. EDT."

The launch of "THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Live From Stockholm)" sparked a lot of chatter from X users, including those who did not hesitate to criticize Taylor. One in particular wrote, "it's just appalling at this point, so unbecoming... do better taylor."

Similarly, another chimed in, "This is the type of greed they mentioned in the Bible." Meanwhile, a third assumed, "She wants that Whitney record so bad, only she has to resort to desperation," referring to the late legendary singer, Whitney Houston.

A fourth, in the meantime, asked, "Taylor Swift is just milking her fans for more money with these limited-time digital releases. How many versions of the same album do we really need?" A fifth suggested, "Billboard should start deducting a chart position for every attempt to game the system."

The release came after Taylor was accused of blocking other artists' albums from landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Online critics went public with the allegations upon learning that Taylor "restocked webstore versions of 'The Tortured Poets Department' " on Sunday, July 7.

One of them complained, "The most chart obsessed and desperate artist in history." Another stated, "Taylor Swift is very chart obsessed but it's so funny to me that she did not have to release any edition last week because Megan is literally not a threat," making a reference to Megan Thee Stallion, who released her self-titled album on June 28.
