The Phoebe Buffay depicter sets the record straight about co-star Jennifer Aniston's remarks regarding her reaction to audience laughter during the filming of the sitcom.

AceShowbiz - After her "Friends" costar, Jennifer Aniston, claimed that Lisa Kudrow "hated" when the live audience laughed during filming, Kudrow has clarified her true feelings. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kudrow stated, "No, that's not exactly ... no, no. It irritated me if they would laugh for too long."

Aniston had previously made the comments during an interview with Quinta Brunson for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series. Recalling her time on the show, Aniston said that Kudrow "hated when the audience laughed," adding that Kudrow would say, "I'm not done! It's not that funny."

However, Kudrow explained that while she sometimes found the laughter distracting, she enjoyed filming in front of a live audience overall. "God bless them. They were so excited to be there that sometimes the laughter would just be longer than if they would have laughed at anything else," she said.

Despite the occasional annoyance, Kudrow and Aniston have remained close friends since "Friends" wrapped in 2004. Aniston even penned a heartfelt tribute to Kudrow on her 60th birthday in July 2023, calling her "one of the most talented comedians/actors" she has ever worked with.

Kudrow is currently starring in the upcoming Apple TV+ series, "Time Bandits", co-created by Taika Waititi. She plays Penelope, the leader of a gang of time-traveling pirates and adventurers.
