Rapper Azealia Banks has responded to an eviction lawsuit by filing a countersuit against her landlord, alleging a series of egregious actions including a rodent infestation.

On her Instagram Story, Azealia Banks vehemently denied the eviction rumors. "Ummm, this is a lie," she wrote, addressing reports that she had 72 hours to vacate the premises. Banks accused her Miami landlords of desperation, claiming, "Lmao these Miami landlords be despeeeeraaaate." She also revealed that she had already moved, shared her new address, and criticized her former landlords' behavior.
Banks didn't hold back, alleging that the landlord was a "drunk with H. Pylori" who harassed her throughout her tenancy. She claimed appalling incidents, including the landlord's husband entering her home under false pretenses to photograph her lingerie. "LIKE YEOOOOO," she exclaimed, detailing her frustration with the invasive actions of her landlords.
The drama escalated when Banks countersued her landlord, Isis Claro, and another individual. Banks' countersuit stemmed from Claro's claim that she owed $8,000 in back rent and sought her eviction. On January 2023, Banks signed a one-year lease for a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in Palmetto Bay, Florida, agreeing to pay $7,050 monthly and $14,600 as a security deposit.
In her legal response, Banks asserted that she had "complied with all controlling terms of the Parties' Lease Agreement, including the timely payment of rent." She accused Claro of neglecting maintenance tasks, harassing her, and allowing a third party unauthorized access to film her personal belongings, including her lingerie.
Banks further alleged that the landlord inaccurately blamed her for a rodent infestation, which repairmen verified was due to a roof opening. Her countersuit demanded the return of her security deposit and attorney fees. Meanwhile, Claro sought dismissal of Banks' claims and possession of the property. As of now, the judge has yet to rule on the case.
