AceShowbiz - Apple has officially unveiled the title and first-look poster for their upcoming Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt, titled simply "F1". The film is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, "F1" stars Pitt as a former driver who makes a comeback to the sport, joined by his teammate, played by Damson Idris, in the fictional team APXGP. The cast also includes Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.
Filmed in collaboration with the Formula 1 community, "F1" offers an immersive experience, capturing the thrill and spectacle of the sport during actual Grand Prix weekends. The film features footage from various iconic races, including the British Grand Prix, the Hungaroring, and the Yas Marina Circuit.
According to Pitt, his character faced a career-ending crash in the past, leading him to disappear from the sport. Bardem plays the owner of a struggling team that recruits Pitt as a "Hail Mary" attempt to improve their performance.
The film promises to deliver intense high-speed driving sequences and an insider's perspective on the world of Formula 1. A teaser trailer for "F1" is expected to be released this weekend at the British Grand Prix.
