The youngest son of the former POTUS was filmed sitting in a golf cart next to his father, who was talking to reporters on Wednesday, July 3. A video uploaded on X, formerly Twitter, by New York Post reporter Jon Levine, showed the 18-year-old being quiet while his dad boasted his success in the first debate for the 2024 presidential election.
Trump could be heard telling a group of nearby people how he beat President Joe Biden during the debate on Thursday. "How did I do with the debate the other night," the Republican asked the group of people around him while handing out what appeared to be a dollar bill.
Everyone in the group responded to the former president with various praise. It prompted the businessman to brag about him kicking "that old broken-down pile of crap," referring to his rival.
"Do you know he's quitting the race," Trump continued, referring to the rumors that Biden may drop out as the Democratic nominee due to his dismal performance at the debate. "He just quit you know. He's quitting the race. I got him out of the race... And now that means we have Kamala."
Not stopping there, Trump also took a shot at the current Vice Presiden, Kamala Harris. "I think she is going to be better. She's so bad," the 81-year-old told to the giggling onlookers. "Can you imagine? ... She's so pathetic."
Barron's rare appearance with his father arrived nearly two months after he declined the opportunity to serve as a Florida delegate at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. The decision was confirmed through a statement from the Office of Melania Trump, underscoring prior commitments as the reason for his withdrawal.
"While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments," the statement explained, leaving many to wonder about the specifics of these commitments.
