AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, arrived in style at a gas station for a photo shoot. The singer was a vision in her western chic ensemble when she hit a Sinclair gas station on Thursday afternoon, June 27, but she did not receive warm welcome.
In photos and videos obtained and published by TMZ, the 37-year-old showed up at the gas station in Los Angeles in a red mini-skirt, a matching cowboy hat, thigh-high black boots and a small black purse. She was also wearing a tiny white tank top with "LOL" written on it, seemingly taking a jab at Katy Perry.
The "Tik Tok" hitmaker previously replied with "LOL" when responding to news that the "Dark Horse" singer is teaming up with her nemesis Dr. Luke for her upcoming 6th studio album.
Kesha was seen getting instructions from her team before posing next to a red convertible. She pretended to pump gas and was able to strike a few poses before the gas station manager told her to beat it. It appears that she did not get a permit to shoot at the location.
In one of the videos, Kesha tried to return to the gas station as she drove her red convertible around the block, but the manager came back out and blocked her. "I'm gonna call the police now," he warned the pop star. He added, "Get out. Get out, get out," forcing Kesha to reverse her car and drive back on to the road.
Kesha was in a legal battle with Dr. Luke, whom she accused of sexual assault, for years. In December 2023, she celebrated her newfound freedom after parting ways with Dr. Luke's Kemosabe Records and distributor RCA as their contract expired.
Thus, the "We R Who We R" songstress seemed to be bemused by Katy's decision to work with Dr. Luke despite her past allegations. Many fans have also called out the "Firework" songstress, who has not responded to the backlash.
