AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian returns to her Marilyn Monroe mode. "The Kardashians" star appeared to channel the Hollywood icon for a new photo shoot posted to her Instagram account on Wednesday, June 26.
The snaps, most of which were black and white, featured the 43-year-old star wearing a tiny animal-print bikini and a matching eye mask. She also rocked platinum hair that was perfectly blown, making it resemble Marilyn's signature 'do.
Flaunting her curves, the SKIMS founder struck some poses for the photo shoot, which was styled by Soki Mak and photographed by Michael Bailey Gates. Kim's best friend and hairstylist Chris Appleton was in charge of her hair, while makeup was done by Kali Kennedy.
Upon catching wind of the photos, fans and fellow celebrities left gushing comments. "So.. you're telling me this isn't Marilyn Monroe?" model Winnie Harlow wrote, adding a heart-eyed face emoji. Nikki Glaser, meanwhile, said, "I LOVE these."
"I like that you aren't looking sickly thin anymore. You look great!" fan raved. Echoing the sentiment, one person noted, "Wait, Kim K look good as hell…." Another added, "Monroe Style elegance & sexy." Meanwhile, someone pointed out, "It gives a Marilyn Monroe tigers 1960s era vibe," referring to the late star's photo shoot on the set of her film "The Prince and the Showgirl".
This wasn't the first time Kim channeled Marilyn. The "American Horror Story: Delicate" star infamously borrowed Marilyn's "Happy Birthday Mr. President" dress for the 2022 Met Gala. Kim, who attended the prestigious event with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson, revealed that she had to lose 16 pounds in three weeks to fit in the dress.
"I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein," the mom of four explained to Vogue. "I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict."
