After a long hiatus from the music scene, the 'Shortie Like Mine' rapper is making his grand return, bringing along a familiar face as he teases a new album.

AceShowbiz - Bow Wow, the rapper who dominated the charts in the early 2000s with hits like "Shortie Like Mine" and "Like You", has been largely absent from the music scene since his last studio album, "New Jack City II", dropped in 2009. In the years following, Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, has focused on reality TV and hosting gigs. However, a recent social media buzz has alluded to the fact that the rapper isn't done with music just yet.

On May 29, Bow Wow took to X (formerly Twitter) to tease a major collaboration with Chris Brown, setting the stage for what fans hope will be an epic musical comeback. His tweet, "Bow Wow x Chris Brown... June 2024," has set the rumor mill churning, with many anticipating that the duo will release a new song together. Known for their earlier hits like "Shortie Like Mine" and "Ain't Thinkin' 'Bout You", their upcoming track has fans waiting with bated breath.

Adding fuel to the fire, Bow Wow revealed during an Instagram Live session that their new record, titled "Use Me", is set to drop in the spring or summer of 2024. Produced by Hitmaka, the track is expected to be another chart-topping hit. Bow Wow proudly announced, "I'm back on… I'm telling y'all now, if you ever, ever counted me out, I feel bad for you."

The rapper also hinted that this collaboration could be part of his much-anticipated album "Before 30", which he first announced in 2021. The album, slated to be his final bow in the music industry, will be released under Death Row Records, now owned by Snoop Dogg.

"I'ma do one more album," Bow Wow shared with Hot 97. "It's gonna be the last one and it's gonna be called 'Before 30'. I'ma have Snoop [Dogg] narrate the whole thing. So it's gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs." This album holds special significance for Bow Wow, as he plans to "close my music career out where it began."
