While the first season of "Peacemaker" was set within the DC Extended Universe, it has been confirmed that the upcoming second season will be part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's "reset" DC Universe. Gunn has stated that this rollout of the DCU's canon will not be confusing to fans.

Gunn and Safran's initial slate for "Gods and Monsters" includes movies for "Superman", "The Brave and the Bold", "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow", "Swamp Thing", and "The Authority".
