AceShowbiz - Less than a year after her husband Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape, Bijou Phillips is living it up with a luxury holiday abroad.
The "Almost Famous" actress, 44, recently vacationed with longtime pal Nicky Hilton Rothschild, who shared photos of their trip to London and France for the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
During their London jaunt, they posed in front of a classic red phonebooth alongside Australian clothing designer Rebecca Vallance-Gasan.
Phillips later embraced the spring weather in the south of France, where they attended a Miu Miu event at Cannes. She donned a pink and white striped dress with tied spaghetti stripes and matching white sneakers for the occasion.
Her latest trip comes after Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison in September following a guilty verdict for raping two women.
Before Masterson's sentencing, Phillips defended him in a letter to the judge, describing him as a "life-saving partner" and an "incredible father." She filed for divorce days later, stating that they had lived apart for five years before his conviction.
A source told DailyMail.com that Phillips' decision to end the marriage was motivated by a desire to protect her assets and show her daughter the importance of accountability.
After Masterson was expelled from the Church of Scientology and deemed a "suppressive person," Phillips quietly cut ties with the church in January.
Masterson has agreed to give Phillips full custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Fianna. He was previously denied bail and transferred from a maximum-security prison to a less harsh penal colony in February.
Phillips has found it "very triggering" to have Masterson in a maximum security prison, where Charles Manson was once held. She has been visiting him with Fianna and has expressed hope that his sentence will be reduced or reversed.
Despite the ongoing legal battle and emotional turmoil, Phillips is finding solace in trips abroad and spending time with friends and family.
