AceShowbiz - Kelly Rowland was left infuriated by a security guard at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The singer/actress was caught on camera having a heated verbal dispute with a member of security at the 77th annual film festival.
On Tuesday, May 21, the former Destiny's Child member attended the premiere of the French film "Marcello Mio". Looking ravishing in red, she was dressed in a flowy dress that gathered in different places around the skirt and had a sweetheart neckline that perfectly complimented her statement diamond necklace.
The 43-year-old accessorized with matching drop earrings, a stacked bracelet, a few rings, a bedazzled clutch and silver pumps. She completed her look by sporting a sleek, platinum-blond bob and flawless makeup.
Looking in good spirits, she was photographed smiling and waving while posing on the red carpet before making her way into the venue. As she was walking up a set of stairs, a female security guard working at the event held her arm up behind the star, seemingly guiding her away from the crowd and the shutterbugs.
At first, Kelly looked cordial with the woman, who was dressed in a black pantsuit, lightly touching her arm as the singer spoke to her. However, their exchange quickly turned intense. It's unclear what the security guard said, but it appeared to tick Kelly off.
The "Dilemma" hitmaker quickly turned her face to the female staffer and pointed at her. The Grammy winner scolded the security guard as she held up her left pointer finger and appeared to admonish the woman in front of everyone.
The security guard appeared to frantically respond to Kelly, who even turned back to continue lashing out at the woman as she made her way up the rest of the steps. Several red carpet officials then appeared to close in on the security guard to diffuse the situation.
As neither Kelly nor her representative has addressed the incident, social media users attempted to lipread Kelly's dialogue in viral footage of the argument. Some people believe that the "Motivation" songstress told the security guard, "Don't talk to me like that."
Kelly appears to shrug off the awkward moment when updating her Instagram page with photos from the festival. On her Instagram Story, she shared that it was "fun in Cannes" despite the verbal dispute with the security guard.
