AceShowbiz - Calvin Harris has sparked speculations suggesting that he is collaborating with Miley Cyrus for his new song. The "Merrymaking at My Place" artist teased an unreleased track, which is believed to feature the "Flowers" hitmaker.
On Wednesday, May 1, the 40-year-old Scottish disc jockey let social media users listen to a snippet of his new song. Making use of Instagram, he uploaded a video documenting a breathtaking view of a beach, highlighting blue ocean, clear sky and relaxing waves.
Calvin set the recording as the background music of the short footage. In the snippet, a woman, who is most likely to be Miley, could be heard singing, "Sun is up, back to life, my eyes are open/ And the last thing I remember was you holding me/ The fact that I still love you in the morning/ Tells me that your body might be home for me."
The woman continues, "We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean/ When the crowd is all around me, you're still all I see/ And the way you lay me down and break me open/ Tells me that your body might be home for me." She adds, "We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean/ Ocean, ocean/ Love the way you lay me down and break me open/ Open, open/ We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean."
Along with the clip, the "Acceptable in the 80s" artist let out a slew of waves emojis in the caption of the post. He appeared to have hinted that the title of the song is "Ocean". However, he did not spill any details about the snippet.
After sharing the video and snippet, Calvin received positive online responses from Instagram users. In the comments section, one in particular excitedly asked, "Um EXCUSE ME IS THIS MILEY?!!! MILEY CYRUS?!!!" Meanwhile, another assumed, "Miley Cyrus ft Calvin OCEAN [a wave emoji] Next Friday."
In the meantime, a third showed that they liked the snippet, gushing, "SONG OF THE SUMMER IS COMING." Showering Calvin and Miley with praises, a fourth added, "This sounds SO GOOD. Miley is so iconic."
