The Prince of Wales gives an assuring response when a royal family fan asks about the well-being of his wife and their three children during his appearance at the grand opening of James Place Newcastle.

AceShowbiz - Prince William has given an update on his family amid Kate Middleton's battle with cancer. The first-in-line to the throne tried to brush off people's concerns about the well-being of his family during his latest public appearance.

On Tuesday, April 30, the Prince of Wales attended the grand opening of James Place Newcastle. When greeting fans, a member of the crowd asked how his wife Kate and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are doing. "All doing well, thank you," William replied, as seen in footage circulating on social media. He assured them, "We're all doing well."

In January, Kensington Palace announced that Kate had undergone a planned abdominal surgery for an undisclosed medical condition that was not cancer. She postponed all of her public engagements and duties through March, leading to speculation about her health issue.

On March 22, the Princess of Wales came clean about her cancer diagnosis in a video message. She said that post-operative tests had found cancer and the palace said she had been undergoing chemotherapy since later February.

"It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family," she said in her video message. "Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance." The 42-year-old added, "This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."

Amid Kate's cancer treatment, William took a step back from public engagements, but he returned for the first time earlier this month when he attended two events in West London and Surrey. The couple recently also celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on April 29.

Marking the special day, they released a never-before-seen photo from their 2011 wedding. The black-and-white picture saw the pair smiling and standing together on their big day. "13 years ago today!" the caption read.
