AceShowbiz - Dua Lipa has left social media users baffled with her unrecognizable look in new photos and videos. The "Dance the Night" songstress sparked a lot of chatter over her different appearance in her never-before-seen pictures and clips.
On Monday, April 29, the 28-year-old British singer/songwriter offered her followers a glimpse of her photo session with Beauty Papers. She took to Instagram to share a series of pictures and videos from the photoshoot.
One of the clips saw Dua striking a pose in a photo studio while an unidentified man, who dressed up as a tailor, was taking a measure of her body. In the particular footage, she rocked a sleeveless black bodysuit, which seemingly was made from plastic. The one-piece came with a skin-tight design, two straps and a huge bow on its backside.
While ditching her accessories, Dua completed the look with a pair of black pointed-toe boots, which were high enough to nearly reach her knees. In addition, the "New Rules" hitmaker, who looked bold with her thick black eyeliner, was wearing a shoulder-length black hair wig with bangs covering her forehead.
Two photos in the post captured Dua apparently sporting nothing but a pair of shorts and white hand gloves. In the black-and-white snaps, it could be seen that her body was tied with a clothing measuring tape. She was photographed pressing her chest to her thighs and showing a stern facial expression at the camera as she went barefoot.
After sharing the snaps, the "Training Season" singer garnered mixed responses from social media users, including those who criticized her for showing "too much" of her body. One in particular complained, "I thought dua is not like other. Now i can see she is always going to the same way. Only people with no talent need to show off their body for promotions but dua you're really talented and amazing why you have to do this ?? I can't understand."
Another asked, "What happened dua ? Why you become like this." Meanwhile, a third penned, "Idc about the whole 'Dua isn't like this' situation, but wtefff is the concept of the shoot?? If they had one at all. It looks messy in a non-artsy way." A fourth, in the meantime, defended Dua, "You say this EVERY TIMEEEE it's an EDITORIAL SHOOT. IT'S PLAYFUL, MEANT FOR A MAGAZINE. THIS IS WHAT DUA DOES."
