Catherine shrugs off those who are moaning about the upcoming 'Beetlejuice' sequel which marks a reunion between actor Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton.

AceShowbiz - Catherine O'Hara is ready to shut down any negativity surrounding the upcoming "Beetlejuice" sequel. "If people don't like it, then f**k them," the 70-year-old actress declared before new footage of the film was revealed at CinemaCon.

Alongside director Tim Burton, 65, and co-stars Michael Keaton, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe, O'Hara shared her excitement for the project. "It's truly very personal and emotional and special," Burton said. "It's like a weird big home movie for me."

Keaton, who played the iconic Beetlejuice in the original 1988 classic, enthused to the audience, "I'll tell you this, it's really f**king good. This cast is so good. Everyone is so friggin' funny. It's unbelievable how funny these guys are."

Set in the same fictional town of Winter River, Connecticut, the sequel follows Delia Deetz (O'Hara) and Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) as they return to their former home with Astrid (Jenna Ortega), Lydia's teenage daughter. When Astrid accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife, Beetlejuice re-enters the picture.

O'Hara described the film as a balance of humor and spookiness, while Keaton praised the cast's dynamic chemistry. "I was very nervous to see if we could pull it off again," he admitted. "But every day got more and more fun."

Joining the cast are Bellucci as Beetlejuice's wife and Theroux as a mysterious character named Rory. Dafoe plays a police officer in the afterlife, a role he enjoyed portraying. "I haven't seen any footage yet, but it was fun to do," he said.

"Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" is slated for release in theaters and IMAX on September 6, 2024. Fans can anticipate the return of the original cast and a fresh take on the beloved supernatural comedy.
