Despite announcing his retirement in 2020 due to health challenges, Fox shares in a new interview that he would consider returning to the big screen under specific conditions.

AceShowbiz - Michael J. Fox is teasing his acting return. Known for his iconic roles in "Back to the Future" and "Family Ties," the actor has expressed his willingness to return to acting if the right opportunity presents itself.

Despite announcing his retirement in 2020 due to health challenges related to Parkinson's disease, Fox revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he would consider returning to the big screen under specific conditions. "If someone offers me a part and I do it and I have a good time, great," Fox said. "I would do acting if something came up that I could put my realities into it, my challenges, if I could figure it out."

Fox has since starred in the 2023 documentary "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie", which chronicles his journey battling Parkinson's and explores how he has navigated the challenges it poses. The actor also received a standing ovation at the BAFTA Film Awards in February when he presented the Best Film Award in a wheelchair.

Fox's acting aspirations have evolved over time. While he initially aspired to "do it all," including directing and writing, his focus has shifted towards his family and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. He believes that his experiences as a person living with Parkinson's provide a unique perspective that could be valuable in acting.

Despite the physical challenges he faces, Fox remains optimistic and committed to raising awareness about Parkinson's. He emphasized that while the disease is a part of his life, it does not define him. "Me personally, it's just who I am, and the way I was built," he said. "And I'm not necessarily trying to figure it out for me, I'm figuring it out for everybody. But it just is what it is."
