After the organizers of the two-day Philadelphia-based festival shared the unfortunate news, festivalgoers quickly offer their suggestions to increase ticket sales.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z's Made in America Festival has announced that the two-day music event will not be held this year. After sharing the unfortunate news, the organizers of the annual Philadelphia-based festival, which was founded by the rapper in 2012, enraged social media users.

On Wednesday, April 3, the organizers issued a statement on their official Instagram account about the cancelation of this year's festival. The beginning of the statement simply read, "Made In America will not take place in 2024."

The organizers went on to explain, "Since its inception, this groundbreaking festival has celebrated music & community - from creating a space for fans to connect, to uplifting local small businesses & shining a light on important causes. It has strived for accessibility, eliminating barriers through affordable tickets and location."

They further elaborated, "As purveyors of change, the Made In America executive production team is reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do." Though so, they assured, "We promise an exciting return to the festival."

In the wake of the revelation, many social media users furiously voiced their thoughts on the matter. In the comments section of the post, one in particular bluntly pointed out, "This is bulls**t how is Roots picnic still up and running then." Similarly, another penned, "Remember MIA 10 years ago? Yeah, that was the s**t. Now, it IS s**t."

Meanwhile, a third kindly offered a suggestion, "Bring back a more diverse lineup (including dance/edm and rock) and you might get more interest. sad cause this used to be a fun festival to go to." Similarly, a fourth assumed, "Needs to be more diverse. this festival only caters towards rap and r&b fans. bring kpop, pop, edm, rock, etc and you'll sell so much more tickets."

Made in America Festival takes place every Labor Day weekend at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. The festival has been called off a few times, including one in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, the music event was scrapped due to "severe circumstances outside of production control."
