AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton allegedly had no choice but got candid about her cancer diagnosis. If a new report is to be believed, Kensington Palace was rushed to release the video of the royal family addressing her health issues after her diagnosis leaked.

A source spilled to Daily Mail on Monday, April 1 that an unknown person contacted the palace after finding out about the Princess of Wales’ health condition. That prompted the palace to rush the video in an attempt to get ahead of the news.

The source noted that despite the speculation, the palace's decision didn't have anything to do with concern regarding Kate's absence from church Easter morning. It is, however, unknown if the London Clinic, where the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January, was the source of the leak.

"Whatever the reason, the universal acclaim heaped on Kate confirmed it was the right decision," the insider continued.

Amid her cancer battle, Kate and Prince William decided to skip the annual Easter church service on Sunday, March 31. The Wales were not seen joining other royal family members at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. The couple's three children, Prince George (10). Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5), were also absent at the event.

Another report, meanwhile, suggested that William has been the support system for his wife following the cancer diagnosis. "He is a very reliable, strong person," a longtime family friend revealed to PEOPLE. "She doesn't feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her."

The insider added, "This is about supporting her and her feeling supported. It is a joint effort. She doesn't feel isolated at all. The nuclear family that they have created so well is an immense support not only to him but to Catherine too."
