The 'Florence Foster Jenkins' actress and 'Only Murders in the Building' actor continue to add fuel to their romance rumor with a recent New York City night out.

AceShowbiz - Meryl Streep and Martin Short, co-stars of the hit Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building", sparked dating rumors once again after they were spotted together at a Broadway show.
On Saturday night, March 16 in New York City, the pair attended a performance of "Merrily We Roll Along" at the Hudson Theatre, as captured in photographs shared by the cast.
Corey Mach, one of the show's stars, expressed his excitement on Twitter, writing, "Today is the day my beautiful MERRILY cast has been waiting for... MERYL IS HERE (with Martin!)."
Krystal Joy Brown, another cast member, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with Streep and Short backstage. She praised the "legends" for their kindness and encouraging words.
In October 2023, it was revealed that Streep and her husband of 45 years, Don Gummer, had separated over six years prior. Short, too, is a widower, having lost his wife to ovarian cancer in 2010.
Despite the rumors, Streep's rep denied any romantic relationship with Short, stating that they are "just very good friends, nothing more."
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "Merrily We Roll Along" expressed their joy at Streep and Short's visit. In a video posted on Instagram, cast members interacted with the surprise guests, sharing laughter and smiles.
The pair's Broadway date follows their appearance together at a dinner in February, further fueling the dating rumors. However, they have consistently downplayed any romantic connections.
As for their "Only Murders in the Building" bond, Short has called working with Streep "one of the great thrills of my life." Streep, who joined the show in season 3, has praised the show for providing her with a much-needed escape from the current state of the world.
