AceShowbiz - "Vanderpump Rules" alum Jax Taylor alleges that James Van Der Beek, known for his role in "Dawson's Creek", treated Tom Schwartz unfavorably at a recent fan convention.
On the March 14 episode of the "When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany" podcast, Taylor revealed that Schwartz had been eagerly anticipating meeting Van Der Beek at Lexington Comic & Toy Con.
However, Taylor claimed that Van Der Beek "wasn't nice to Tom" despite Schwartz's evident excitement. According to Taylor, Van Der Beek appeared uninterested and lacked enthusiasm in engaging with fans.
"We were the only ones in front of our tables, engaging, taking hugs [and] pictures," said Taylor, contrasting their behavior with Van Der Beek's.
Brittany Cartwright, Taylor's estranged wife and co-host, remarked that Van Der Beek may have simply been rushed or overwhelmed by the crowds. However, Taylor insisted that it was the convention's purpose to interact with fans.
Cartwright and fellow "Vanderpump Rules" alum Kristen Doute weren't sure about Van Der Beek's alleged behavior.
Taylor's comments have not yet been addressed by Van Der Beek's representatives.
The incident highlights the complexities of celebrity-fan interactions at conventions. While some stars may be genuinely enthusiastic about meeting their fans, others may find the experience overwhelming or even unpleasant.
