The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly launched an inquiry into the damning allegations levelled against their quarterback after he sued his accuser for alleged extortion.

Prescott has filed a lawsuit alleging that the woman is attempting to extort $100 million from him. He is seeking $1 million in damages, which he plans to donate to a charity supporting survivors of sexual violence.
The allegations emerged earlier this year after Prescott was served notice by attorneys representing the woman. According to the letter, she is willing to forego criminal charges and public disclosure in exchange for compensation of $100 million for mental anguish.
Meanwhile, Dallas police have received a report about an alleged sexual assault that occurred on or around February 2, 2017, at XTC Cabaret. The investigation is ongoing.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones has stated that the team has met with Prescott regarding the allegations but declined to provide specifics. He noted that the investigation will not impact contract talks with Prescott, who is entering the final year of his deal.
In a related incident, a Cowboys cheerleader has recently come forward with allegations of "unsportsmanlike conduct" by Green Bay Packers players toward cheerleaders. Darian Lassiter expressed concern that cheerleaders are not protected by rules addressing player behavior.
