AceShowbiz - Ll Cool J and Simone I. Smith started their romance in 1987 when they were in high school. He said Simone gave him her number, thinking that he would never call her but he did. They now have four kids together. The two dated for eight years before tying the knot in 1995.
In the book "What Makes a Marriage Last", he told Phil Donahue and Marlo Smith, " 'I said, 'Nah, nah, nah,' And then I looked over and saw Simone and I was like, 'Alright, I'll meet your cousin. Bring her over.' So, I said hello to her and then we kind of vibed-we had a nice moment of eye contact. I said, 'You should come around.' She said, 'You come around.' "
