Backed by X CEO Elon Musk, the actress recently filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Co. and Lucasfilm over her firing from the series back in 2021.

AceShowbiz - Bob Iger has reacted to Gina Carano's lawsuit over "The Mandalorian" firing. The Disney CEO doesn't seem to be happy when asked about the matter as he gave a cold one-word response.

During The Walt Disney Company's Q1 2024 earnings report on Wednesday, February 7 on CNBC, Iger was asked on air about his response to Elon Musk funding Carano's lawsuit against the company. To that question, Iger simply replied, "None."

Iger's lack-thereof response came after Carano filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Co. and Lucasfilm in federal court in California. Backed by the CEO of X, the actress claimed that she was fired for voicing right-wing opinions on social media. The former mixed martial artist demanded a court order that would force Lucasfilm to recast her.

"A short time ago in a galaxy not so far away, Defendants made it clear that only one orthodoxy in thought, speech, or action was acceptable in their empire, and that those who dared to question or failed to fully comply would not be tolerated," read the lawsuit. "And so it was with Carano."

Following the lawsuit, Carano wrote on X, "After my 20 years of building a career from scratch, and during the regime of former Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Lucasfilm made this statement on Twitter, terminating me from The Mandalorian." She added, " 'Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm & there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural & religious identities are abhorrent & unacceptable.' "

"The thing is I never even used aggressive language. I shared thought provoking quotes, pictures, memes & occasionally I used my own words, not with aggression but with respect & the occasional comedy to keep the mood light in dark times," Carano, who was fired from "The Mandalorian" in 2021, continued. "Hollywood says they support female representation & equal rights. Why then were my male co-stars permitted to speak without harassment & re-education courses or termination, but I was not afforded the same right to exercise my freedom of speech."
