In a new interview, the 'Pursuit of Happiness' spitter discusses his relationship with the Yeezy designer following their public fallout over his friendship with Pete Davidson.

AceShowbiz - Kid Cudi has determined to put his past behind when it comes to his beef with Kanye West. During his interview on Apple Music's Zane Lowe podcast, the "Pursuit of Happiness" spitter discussed his relationship with the Yeezy designer, noting that they're cool now.

"Siblings hurt you the most. So you go through things, but family is always there," he said during the sit-down, published on Thursday, January 18. "You don't give up on family. And I think in the thick of it, when it was going down, I wanted to walk away."

Kid Cudi went on to say, "I wanted to give up, but in thinking about it the past couple years, it's like this is someone who is my brother ultimately who came into my life and championed me and did things for me that nobody else did for me early on in my career."

The "Day 'n' Nite" rapper added that there's no bad blood between him and the "Vultures" spitter despite having disagreements. Calling Ye a "good man," Kid Cudi further shared, "He's learning and he's growing. He knows he made some mistakes and I think that that's the beauty of it, is this is a beautiful thing."

"It's like he knows he's been on one hell of a ride and he knows he's said some things that he might not be able to come back from in a lot of realms, in a lot of spaces from certain people. But we grow and I think I pray for him, and that's my brother," he added.

"The reason why we became cool again is because he apologized to me and it was sincere. I was just like, wow," Kid Cudi divulged. "Kanye does not apologize to anybody and say sorry to anyone. And that's my brother, man. various and there's just nothing like Kanye and Cudi. We like the duo that everybody loves to see."

The two hip-hop stars' relationship went south in 2022 over Kid Cudi's friendship with Pete Davidson, who used to date Ye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian. They eventually mended their friendship in 2023.

Following their reconciliation, both of them continued to show love and support for each other. Kid Cudi was among those who attended a listening session for "Vultures" last December. Ye, meanwhile, took to his social media account to promote Kid Cudi's song the "ElectroWaveBaby" off Cudi's newly released "INSANO" album.
