While reflecting on her great and unfortunate experiences in 2023, the 'Criminal Minds' star declares that she is 'happy, blessed, grateful' for surviving the challenging year.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Love Hewitt revealed that she is "filled with hope" for 2024. In a new social media post, the actress portraying Kate Callahan on "Criminal Minds" voiced her excitement for the new year as she opened up about going through "a lot no one knew about" in 2023.

On Sunday, December 31, the 44-year-old actress/singer shared with her fans what she has experienced for the past one year via Instagram. In a lengthy caption accompanying a selfie in her post, she wrote, "This year I went thru a lot no one knew about. And was grateful for that privacy."

Jennifer went on to mention her experiences, including good and unfortunate ones. She listed, "I had the greatest time being a mommy at home with my kids. Learned to be a better baker. Learned it's okay to take time for myself mentally, physically and emotionally. Did a lot of praying and manifesting. Belly laughed more than ever."

"Had the longest cold of my life," the former "Ghost Whisperer" star continued. "Was forced to have more faith than normal. Learned to love working out as a gain for my mental health. Took chances on myself and my bigger dreams. Sat deeper in grief and was able to let more go. Felt my mom around us and saw signs that she was."

Not stopping there, Jennifer further elaborated, "Said goodbye to things that don't serve positivity in my life and made room for lots of good things in 2024. Celebrated 10 years with my guy. Got some tattoos. And truly let whatever I needed to learn teach me."

Fortunately, Jennifer survived all those struggles in 2023. She declared, "And so here I am. Happy, blessed, grateful and filled with hope. I will be praying our world gets better this year and everyone sees less pain, fear and heartbreak." Near the end of the caption, she exclaimed, "Love to all and Happy New Year!"

Jennifer was later praised by social media users for sharing her relatable story. In the comments section of the post, one in particular penned, "It's wonderful when people can tell their truth, which gives permission to others to do the same. This is a beautiful post, so human, so truthful, and so helpful you are loved, Love," adding a red heart emoji.
