AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has received an apology from a gossip account after she was reported to have secretly married Joe Alwyn. Deuxmoi has apologized to the pop superstar following her publicist's denial, but insisted that it's not lying when sharing the story.

"Well I make zero dollars from lying... can publicists say the same?" Deuxmoi posted on its Story on Friday, December 1. "Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to 'pain & trauma' after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor."

The mention of " 'pain & trauma' after what just happened" seemed to refer to the death of Ana Clara Benevides, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Taylor's Rio de Janeiro show on November 17.

Previously, Deuxmoi reported that Taylor had a marriage ceremony with Joe before their breakup. "She did have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the U.K. and it was described to me as a 'marriage' by more than one person. It was never made legal," the gossip account posted.

It went on stressing, "I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a s**t what she does!!!!! I'm sorry she didn't tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn't sing about something doesn't mean it didn't happen!!!!"

Taylor's publicist Tree Paine then angrily shut down the rumors. "Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post," she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday. "It's time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these."

Following Tree's statement, some people jumped to Deuxmoi's defense, thinking that Tree's personal response was unnecessary. "I believe you," one person wrote to Deuxmoi via DM, which was reposted on its Story. "It just feels like now that Taylor is with [Travis Kelce] they don't want anything positive about Joe to be out there. Like girl you were with him for 6 years so obviously some of it was good. Why are we blowing him up because you found someone better for you. Like I said I'm a Swiftie but some of her moves lately are really turning me off."

Another person weighed in, "I don't understand why Taylor's PR would respond directly to this. It is so out of character. There are so many rumors always circling about Taylor. Why would Tree shut this one done directly? The potential of Taylor and Joe having some time of commitment ceremony is not bad publicity. So there has to be reason why Tree would say this now."

"I am thinking either 1. Taylor & Travis Engagement announcement coming soon," the second user continued. "And Taylor doesn't want anything diluting that. 2. There is some other evidence or something that will be leaked. It's all very strange. I need to know, why now!?"
