AceShowbiz - Taylor Zakhar Perez was surprised that Jacob Elordi didn't like working on "The Kissing Booth" franchise. When weighing in on his co-star's "ridiculous" comment, the Marco Valentin Pena depicter in the Netflix films said it was such a shame Jacob didn't have a "wonderful experience" like other cast members.

The 31-year-old offered his two cents when speaking to Variety at the GQ Men of the Year party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood on Thursday, November 16. "I thought it was a shame because, to my knowledge, everybody else had such a wonderful experience," he told the outlet.

"It's a shame that was his experience on the set," Taylor added. "Especially when those movies came out, it was a time when we really needed something like that."

Jacob slammed the franchise in his GQ Men of the Year cover story. "I didn't want to make those movies before I made those movies," he told the magazine of "The Kissing Booth" trilogy. "Those movies are ridiculous. They're not universal. They're an escape."

Jacob went on to note that signing on to do three of the films almost felt like "a trap." On the reason why, the Australian hunk explained, "It can become 15 for them, none for you. You have no original ideas and you're dead inside. So it's a fine dance."

In the movies, Jacob plays Noah Flynn, the football jock love interest of Joey King's character Elle Evans. Taylor's Marco appears in the second and third films and he is caught in a love triangle between the two.
