Putting an end on speculation that he dropped a bong on the sideline at the New York Jets vs the Los Angeles Chargers game, the injured quarterback says that it was tequila instead.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Rodgers has spoken out after he was rumored to be carrying around a bong at a football game. The New York Jets star, who is currently sidelined due to his injury, recently attended his team's game against the Los Angeles Chargers during which he dropped a bottle, which has been heavily speculated to be a bong.

On Friday, November 10, the injured quarterback appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" to set things straight for once and all. Denying that he had a bong during the Monday night, November 6 game, he said that it was tequila instead.

"That was not a bong, first of all. Let's go through a couple of things," Aaron said, before going into details of what was captured in viral footage of the incident. "1, I was dapping up by buddy [Hugh Coles]. Hugh plays George McFly in the new Broadway play, 'Back to the Future'. So shout out to Hugh."

The 39-year-old continued, "No. 2, there's a gentleman named John Sutcliffe. He is the ESPN Deportes sideline reporter and he's tried to interview me in Spanish a few times with some funny results. I dap him up, it's partly his fault because I was walking off the field with my Maestro Dobel tequilla that John Sutcliffe gives me every time he sees me on 'Monday Night Football'."

"I'm walking off and I hear a British guy yell my name. So I turn over and there's Hugh, my buddy. He's British, but he's incredible in 'Back to the Future' without the accent," the Super Bowl champion went on sharing. "Anyway, I see Hugh, give him a hug, dap him up, go to pick it back up, s**t falls out and I lose half my tequila."

"So, shout out to John for bringing me tequila, shout out to Maestro Dobel, shout out to bongs everywhere, but that was not one of them," Aaron added. On the bong theory, he said, "It's a little weak with the conspiracies. I feel like it should've been something more like, you know, dolphin semen or Giants tears or something better than that."

Before Aaron made the clarification, fans took to social media to share their wild theories about what the athlete might have dropped on the sideline. "Got that 80 proof Gatorade," one person jested. Another joked, "It's a bottle of whale sperm. Helps strengthen the Achilles faster. Joe Rogan gave it to him."

"Pretty sure it's someone else's peepee just in case he gets tested," a third claimed. Someone else added, "That's the high quality H20 from a glacier in Alaska that he's been drinking to heal so fast...," referring to Aaron's ruptured Achilles.
