The husband of Kyle Richards is slammed by a former ABC executive, whose property and Emmy statue were damaged by tenants recommended by Mauricio's company.

AceShowbiz - Mauricio Umansky's journey to win the Mirrorball Trophy on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" may not be easy. The estranged husband of Kyle Richards was slammed by a former ABC executive, whose property and Emmy statue were damaged by tenants recommended by Mauricio's company.

Speaking to Radar Online, Stephen McPherson claimed that Mauricio's UMRO Realty Corp placed a couple into his $12 million house in Los Angeles. The Emmy winner, who served as president of ABC primetime entertainment from 2004 to 2010, said that the tenants decapitated his 2005 Emmy statue.

He revealed that despite causing $1 million damage to the furnished property, furniture, designer clothing and the garden, the alleged tenants from hell never had to be responsible for the mess. "The sad thing about all this is that the tenants themselves were never brought to justice and it's really horrific and unfortunate," Stephen said.

"All I know is that in (UMRO's) recommendation they said that they had worked with them for years and that they were vouching for them," he continued. "You tell me what that means."

Stephen sued UMRO and two of its real estate agents in a May 2021 lawsuit. In the court documents, Stephen said that the tenants rummaged through a storage closet and damaged expensive collector designer clothes. They also removed artwork and furniture and robbed the wine cellar.

Not stopping there, they gave away two couches to the housekeeper's husband as a gift. Stephen also noted that some items were missing.

The tenants also refused to leave the property until Stephen filed eviction papers in housing court amid COVID-19 pandemic. "We finally got an eviction with the (L.A. County) Sheriff after six months," he shared.

Of the damaged Emmy trophy, Stephen said, "Once an Emmy is broken it's broken, you can't fix it per se. There were a lot of things, like the Emmy and other keepsakes - even just family things - that were destroyed or stolen completely."
