AceShowbiz - The first look at Ryan Reynolds in "Deadpool 3" has surfaced online, albeit not the official one. As filming for the movie has begun since May despite the Writers Guild of America strike, the actor has been photographed on the set in London.

In photos obtained by the Mirror, the 46-year-old hunk slipped back into Deadpool suit as he reprises his role as Wade Wilson. He was seen filming a car crash scene in the woods on location earlier this week.

The pictures gave away a look at Deadpool's new suit, which features very few changes from the outfit donned in his R-rated Fox movies. Some gold highlights have been added to the black areas on the costume, but the overall design remains the same.

The biggest change to the costume is the color. Where "Deadpool" and its sequel had a largely muted color palette, the red of the suit in the new set photos is surprisingly bright, almost similar with the coloring in the comics. This may indicate a distinction between the MCU and the 20th Century Fox universe where Deadpool debuted.

Reynolds was at one point seen taking off the mask while speaking with a crew member, possibly director Shawn Levy. Reynolds' stunt double was reportedly also spotted on the set, wearing the mask "minus the eyes."

"Deadpool 3" will have Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Logan a.k.a. Wolverine. Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna and Stefan Kapicic are also among the returning cast, but Zazie Beetz has confirmed that she will not return for the threequel.

"Well I'm actually not in 'Deadpool 3', so I don't know what they're doing (about improvisation). I'm assuming they're probably taking a pause. I'm excited to watch it," she told Decider in June when asked how the ongoing writers strike could impact on Reynolds' constant improvising.

"Deadpool 3" is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on May 3, 2024.
