AceShowbiz - Zendaya Coleman has not been turned away by a restaurant for wearing a crop top. Shortly after words circulated that the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" actress was met with the embarrassing situation, her representative came out with an explanation to set the record straight.
In a statement to Page Six, Zendaya's representative Scott Newman shot down a report claiming that the 26-year-old was denied entry to Terrazza Borromini in Rome due to the restaurant's strict dress code. The spokesman stressed, "This is completely false."
On the real reason why Zendaya did not enter the restaurant in the first place, Scott claimed that the "Euphoria" star "realized" she and her team had visited the restaurant before. The rep added that it was the reason why the actress "left and went to another place."
Zendaya and her group of friends went to Terrazza Borromini on Saturday, June 10. According to Daily Mail, the group was turned away because she did not adhere to the "smart casual" dress code for customers. The outlet revealed that the group still had to leave even though they had made a reservation.
In photos shared by the outlet, Zendaya and her pals could be seen standing in front of the restaurant while having a conversation with the restaurant's employee. After a while, they were reported to go to another pizza place near the restaurant.
For the day out, the "Dune" actress wore a strapless and sleeveless black crop top and a pair of ivory-colored wide leg pants. She completed the look with a brown belt, a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag, a pair of black leather mules, black sunglasses, earrings, several rings and bracelets. She styled her shoulder-length dark-colored hair in curls wet look.
Days before the restaurant incident, Zendaya shared about the fashion emergency she had to deal with. On the same day of attending the opening of Bulgari Hotel Roma on June 8, she shared her red carpet photo on Instagram Story with a note that read, "Fun fact…my dress for tonights @bulgarihotels event got lost in transit, so we got this suit an hour before the event. When in doubt… a @maisonvalentino suit :) @luxurylaw."
