The NBA legend and the Internet personality sparked online chatter after they were spotted dining out together, but sources claim it was nothing more than two friends catching up.
The sources tell TMZ, which also obtained photos and video of the duo's apparent dinner date, that they are not an item. The sources further stress that the former basketball star and the social media star have been close friends for a long time and they just wanted to reconnect.
Shaq and Brittany arrived together at the Beverly Hills hotel shortly after 6 P.M. on Tuesday, June 6. They were seen enjoying each other's company as they shared a meal before leaving the Los Angeles hot spot around 8 P.M.
After pictures of their dinner date went viral, social media users were sent into frenzy, with many seemingly warning Shaq against dating Brittany. "Shaq nooooooo run Shaq, run," an Instagram user wrote. Another commented, "Between this Zion getting women pregnant to Shaq going on a date with Brittany Renner… The TL going crazy today," referring to Zion Williamson's alleged love triangle with his girlfriend Ahkeema and porn star Moriah Mills.
When another person weighed in, "Now Brittany Renner know she don't like Shaq," someone else replied, "All about the money."
Shaq has never publicly confirmed a romantic relationship since his divorce from Shaunie Henderson was finalized in 2011. Back in 2022, the 51-year-old admitted he was to blame for their failed marriage. "I was a d**khead. You don't know how good you got something till it's gone," he told PEOPLE.
As for Brittany, she was previously in a relationship with Charlotte Hornets player P. J. Washington. The former couple shares a son.
In April of last year, Brittany sparked dating rumors with YG after they were spotted on an ice cream date. During the outing, the duo sat at a wooden table and appeared to engage in deep conversation as they enjoyed the desserts. She was also featured in the cover art of YG's new song "Toxic".
