The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star has extended his partnership with the French luxury fashion house with a lucrative $20 million-plus deal, marking the biggest men's fragrance pact ever.

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp is making history with Dior. The Hollywood actor has extended his partnership with the French luxury fashion house and cosmetic giant with a new record-breaking contract.
According to Variety, the new three-year deal is worth over $20 million, which marks the largest men's fragrance deal in history. It eclipses Robert Pattinson's $12 million deal to serve as a spokesperson for Dior Homme and Brad Pitt's $7 million pact to promote Chanel No. 5.
The site goes on noting that most A-listers with fragrance deals pull in around $2 million-$4 million per year, like Chris Pine, whose deal with Armani is valued at $4 million a year over 3 years. Dior has not responded to a request for comment while a rep for Depp has declined to comment.
Depp has served as the face of Dior Sauvage since it launched in 2015. The company faced pressure to severe its ties with the actor after he lost his 2020 libel suit against The Sun over its article labeling him as a "wife beater," but his image and marketability improved dramatically last year after he won the defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard in June 2022.
Three months after the verdict in the defamation lawsuit was reached, Dior Beauty promoted the 59-year-old in a new social media campaign that was shared on the brand's Instagram account. "Profound and authentic. Johnny Depp embodies the heady magic of Sauvage," Dior Beauty shared in September 2022, on the heels of an initial report in TMZ that he had re-upped his pact. Another post the same day read, "More than ever, Johnny Depp is the soul of Sauvage."
Depp, who faced a setback in his acting career due to his legal issues, is set to make his return in French film "Jeanne du Barry", in which he portrays King Louis XV. He will next direct a movie titled "Modigliani", based on a play by Dennis McIntyre, which he will co-produce with Al Pacino and Barry Navidi.
