AceShowbiz - Serena Williams has apparently kept news of her second pregnancy from daughter Olympia. Days after making use of 2023 Met Gala red carpet to debut her baby bump, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion revealed the reason why she delayed sharing the happy news with her little girl.

Turning to Instagram on Friday, May 5, the 42-year-old put out a video documenting the moment she broke her pregnancy news to her and husband Alexis Ohanian's 5-year-old daughter. In it, she could be heard first explaining, "Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant."

Serena went on to say, "So the big reveal will be at the Met and then before we leave, I'll tell Olympia." On the reason why she did not tell Olympia sooner, the former tennis ace candidly admitted, "The reason I haven't told her is because she can't keep a secret!"

The clip, which teased Serena's upcoming YouTube channel, presented her and Alexis with Olympia sitting in between them. When Serena told Olympia that she is expecting, her little girl could not hide her excitement as she quickly dived in to hug her mother with a bright big smile on her face.

Elsewhere in the video, Serena could be seen putting on a navy trench coat as she tried to hide her growing baby bump. "I look like Inspector Gadget," she said about her look. The clip also captured the preparation she and her husband had before attending 2023 Met Gala.

Serena dropped a surprise announcement about her pregnancy at the Met Gala on Monday, May 1. Hitting the red carpet accompanied by Alexis, she donned a custom-made Gucci gown that gave away her baby bump, and confirmed that she and her husband are expecting their second child together.

The younger sister of Venus Williams also made use of her Instagram account to announce her second pregnancy. Alongside a series of snaps capturing her and Alexis in their ensembles for the Met Gala, she penned in the caption, "Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala."
