AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie has made a rare joint appearance with Maddox. Although she usually kept her children away from the spotlight, the actress portraying Thena on MCU's "Eternals" brought along her eldest son as her plus-one to a state dinner at the White House.

The 47-year-old came to the event hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in honor of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee on Wednesday, April 26. She donned a flowing white gown with a V neckline for the occasion.

Opting for a more formal look, Angelina put on a matching blazer over her dress. She completed her ensemble with a string of pearls necklace, a gold clutch and a pair of high heels. Her son, who studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, in the meantime, chose to wear a classic black suit with a long jacket. He let his long black hair flow down his shoulders.

Though it was a rare joint appearance for the mother and son duo, this was not the first time they were seen together in public. Back in October 2022, Angelina was joined by 21-year-old Maddox and his siblings, 19-year-old Pax, 18-year-old Zahara, 16-year-old Shiloh and 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, at the London premiere of "Eternals".

Despite her Hollywood background, Angelina was no stranger to formal State events. She has been serving as the Special Envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees since 2012. She has also been among the vocal advocates that supported female empowerment.

In July 2020, the ex-wife of Brad Pitt attended a panel with the National Democratic Institute. There, she challenged, "Women contribute so much, they are giving, are nurturing by nature, are community-building by nature, are strong, are intelligent, and yet what is it that's holding us back? I think when you speak of value, that’s something to really sit with. Why is it that so many women still don’t know their own value?"
