While attending the Dorit Kemsley's Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood Gala, the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star weighs in on the Ozempic craze in the Hollywood circles.

AceShowbiz - Crystal Kung Minkoff was tempted to try Ozempic as she dealt with her eating disorder struggles. "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star weighed in on the craze over the FDA-approved prescription medication when attending Dorit Kemsley's Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood Gala.

"Of course I've thought about it," the 40-year-old began to spill to Page Six when she came to the event held at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton on Saturday night, April 22. She went on to say, "But it's not a good place for me, personally, for my recovery."

Crystal, who had unveiled her longtime battle with body dysmorphia and bulimia on the Bravo reality series, additionally explained, "From someone who has struggled [with an eating disorder] their whole life, I've always looked for things to fix it for me."

The TV personality continued, "I've never judged or looked down on anyone that finds different avenues for [weight loss]. I would be lying if [I said] I haven't thought about it. And then I have to check myself if that's right for my recovery and I'm in a very specific situation."

Further sharing her thoughts on the notion that the drug was being used for vanity, she stated, "From what I understand, there's a shortage for people with diabetes, in which case I think people should completely stop using it … for just vanity if that's really the case."

"That's my issue with it. It's really about making sure people who really need it first get it. Other than that, it's really people's decision. It can be private, it can be public, it's on them," the wife of movie producer Rob Minkoff added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Crystal declared that she is in a "really good place" on her recovery from eating disorder. "I think that's really where I use my platform, to share with people that, like, it's one minute at a time and it's OK if you have a minute that wasn't great because the next one can be. And I go through that all the time," she then pointed out.

Crystal has been open about her eating disorder. After discussing her struggles with co-stars Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley and Sutton Stracke, she told PEOPLE in August 2022, "I was never going to deep dive into it. I ended up being okay talking about it on camera, but it was intense."

"It's hard to understand an eating disorder if you don't have one. It's complicated and nuanced and everybody's experience is different across the board. I've been in therapy since I was 11. It's mentally exhausting," she admitted. "But I don't feel shame anymore because I've spent so much time working on it. I'm doing my best."
