AceShowbiz - Aaron Carter's cause of death has been revealed. Five months after he was found dead in a bathtub, the "I Want Candy" hitmaker was uncovered to have died from drowning.

According to a report from the Los Angeles County Coroner on Tuesday, April 18, the late star was "found submerged under water and unresponsive in his bathtub." The report additionally stated, "Medics responded and pronounced death at the scene."

Contributing to Aaron's death were the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas that is often used as the propellant in cans of compressed air, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, per Page Six report. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

Aaron passed away at the age of 34. His body was found in his bathtub by a housekeeper on November 5 2022 and cremated on November 9.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office previously stated that the autopsy did not find any water in Aaron's lungs, leading investigators to believe that he died from an OD. His mom Jane Schneck (formerly Jane Carter), meanwhile, was convinced that her son was the victim of a crime.

On March 1, Jane took to her Facebook page to share the disturbing images taken in Aaron's bathroo. They included a snap of the bathtub, which was filled to the top with water that has a greenish tint. Aaron died in the tub hours before his housekeeper discovered it.

Another snap shows the clothes the "Dancing with the Stars" alum had taken off prior, including a Champion hoodie and what appears to be tie-dye pants. There are also photos of towels on the floor and what appears to be contaminated water spilled on the bathroom tile.
