According to a new report, 'We Need to Talk About Kanye' promises to bring 'revelation" of unknown context surrounding the 'Donda' rapper's recent controversies.

AceShowbiz - "We Need to Talk About Kanye", the upcoming BBC documentary on Kanye West, is set to delve into the Chicago rapper's recent antics and behavior. According to a new report, the documentary promises to bring "revelation" of unknown context surrounding his recent controversies.

The movie's producer Jeremy Lee recently shared in an interview with Variety that in addition to Ye’s antisemitic tirades and 2024 presidential election, the documentary will divulge much more information. “Underpinned with world-class journalism and unique access to members of Ye’s inner circle, this is a revelation-driven film which sheds new light on recent events,” Jeremy said.

Jeremy confirmed that Kanye West knows of the documentary, though he will not be involved in any capacity. “Ye’s recent behavior has prompted both condemnation and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture. With recent events as a starting point, the documentary and accompanying eight-part podcast series [The Kanye Story] explore Ye’s two decades in the public eye amid a rumored YE2024 election campaign," he added.

The Kanye Story will further explore Kanye West’s career with help from top music industry executives. Investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar, who also explored Britney Spears’ conservatorship in the film "The Battle For Britney", helmed the BBC documentary.

Variety went on to report that BBC sold the doc to various countries after ordering it in February. Networks in Finland, Belgium, Australia, Sweden, Norway and Denmark already secured rights to the project.

More recently, it was reported that Ye decided to cancel his plans for the 2024 presidential run. "Right now, I am living my life - like I'm concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that's it," the Chicago star allegedly told Adam Camacho, a documentary producer hired by Ye's company to make a film in November 2022. "I just want to be left alone."

An anonymous employee of the "Jesus Is King" MC also echoed the sentiment. Of the Yeezy designer, the source told the news outlet, "His interests are focused on his children, family, and creative endeavors… Anyone that is representing Ye in any political capacity is a charlatan. There is no political shop."

he insider further claimed that Ye lost desire to be POTUS after tying the knot with his new wife Bianca Censori, who also works at Yeezy. The two made headlines for their surprise, private ceremony in January.
