While there's still no official update on the 'medical complication' that landed the 'Annie' actor in the hospital last week, it's said that he got himself checked out after suffering from headaches.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx reportedly suffered a "brain bleed," but it may not be that serious. The 55-year-old actor has been hospitalized since Tuesday, April 11 after experiencing what his daughter Corinne Foxx described as a "medical complication."

While there's no official update on what caused him to land in the hospital, a new report by Media Take Out claims that the "Django Unchained" star was suffering from headaches and decided to get himself checked out. When doctors realized that there was an issue, they decided to hospitalize him.

Doctors allegedly found out that Jamie suffered what they are calling a "braid bleed." However, his braid bleed or hemorrhage was reportedly minor and he is expected to make a full recovery from it.

The site previously reported that Jamie was possibly suffering either a "stroke" or an "aneurysm," before correcting itself. As to what may have caused the brain bleed, the Centers for Disease and Control said that head trauma, high blood pressure, amyloid angiography, aneurysms and blood vessel abnormalities could pose a risk to the condition.

In her statement released on Wednesday, Jamie's daughter wrote on Instagram, "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday." The 29-year-old actress added, "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."

On Thursday, sources told TMZ that the comedian "is doing a lot better" and even able to joke with his family. However, he may need to stay in the hospital at least a few more days as doctors need to perform tests because they haven't "gotten to the bottom of what happened to him."

Due to Jamie's health scare, "Back in Action" shut down production on Wednesday. Filming resumed on Thursday, with a stand-in used in place of the "Ray" star.

On the same day, a casting director informed extras via email that a scene set to film on Sunday has been canceled due to "changes in production." The scene will not be rescheduled due to the changes, but scenes scheduled to film on Monday and Tuesday are expected to move forward as planned, per the memo.
