AceShowbiz - The 2023 Producers Guild of America Awards has unveiled the winners of this year's event. Taking home the top honor at the Saturday night, February 25 ceremony was "Everything Everywhere All at Once".
The Michelle Yeoh-starring film, which scored 11 nominations for the 2023 Oscars, won the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. It beat the likes of "Avatar: The Way of Water", "The Banshees of Inisherin", "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", "Elvis", "The Fabelmans", "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery", "Tar", "Top Gun: Maverick" and "The Whale."
Claiming the Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures prize was "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio". "Navalny", in the meantime, triumphed in the Award for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures category.
In TV, "The White Lotus" scooped the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television - Drama. "The Bear" won the Danny Thomas Award for Episodic Television - Comedy, while "The Dropout" collected the David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Limited or Anthology Series Television.
As for the Award for Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television, it went to "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy". The Award for Outstanding Producer of Live Entertainment & Talk Television recognized "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver", and "Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls" won Outstanding Producer of Game & Competition Television.
Special accolades were also given to Tom Cruise as he won David O. Selznick Achievement Award. Mindy Kaling bagged the trophy for Norman Lear Achievement Award and Lena Waithe nabbed the Vance Van Petton Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.
