AceShowbiz - Drew Barrymore hinted that she used to be sexually adventurous. When opening up about her sex life, "The Drew Barrymore Show" host claimed she is now boring in bed because she has "done everything."
The 47-year-old made the revelation when speaking to Ross Matthews on her podcast "Drew's News" as they were talking about the Netflix series "How to Build a Sex Room". She said, "I'm a dirty bird … but just in the corners of my mind where I never will tell and it's just for me."
"I can understand certain kinky things," the Golden Globe Award-winning actress further divulged. "Listen, I've tried everything. I've done everything - that's why I'm so boring now."
Ross then asked Drew if she was ever surprised about being into certain things in the bedroom. In response, the "50 First Dates" star candidly answered, "I don't know if I was into it or not - I just wanted to try everything." It prompted Ross to quip, "I think that's fun. And exhausting."
Drew said she doesn't necessarily need a sex room. "I'm fine in the bed, mish posish," she said while laughing. She then shared, "Those days are long gone... You used a keyword: exhausting. But back when I was younger, I had all the energy in the world. But now, no."
This arrived after Drew claimed that she could "go years" without having sex. She also explained that she has "very different feelings about intimacy" now than she did when she was much younger.
In a blog post, Drew said, "I'm sure that there was one point in my life where six months might have seemed extreme, but I'm on the other side of that now. At nearly 48 I have very different feelings about intimacy than I did growing up." She added, "I did not have role model parents and I engaged with people in grown up ways since a tender age! I was looking for companionship! validation! excitement! pleasure! hedonism! fun! And adventures!! Now, because I can't get in the time machine and change my history."
"So I now choose to look at it through a positive lens, which is that I lived! I lived a very rich full life. However, after two kids and a separation from their father that has made me cautious, I have had the pleasure of shifting my focus when it comes to love for myself and my two daughters," Drew continued. "I know that does not include a man nor has it for a while (sic)."
