Taking to her official TikTok account, the 'In the Heights' star unleashes footage of her in character as Barbara Gordon as well as her rehearsal for a complex fight scene.

AceShowbiz - While "Batgirl" may never see the light of day, Leslie Grace is giving fans a glimpse into the now-scrapped movie. Making use of her TikTok account, the actress has shared new behind-the-scenes footage from the canceled film.
The 15-second video shows Grace in character as Barbara Gordon. Sporting black eye makeup, she nodded her head to the camera in the self-taken footage. It then cuts to a behind-the-scenes look at a scene where her character is being choked by someone unseen.
The 27-year-old was also seen rehearsing a complex fight choreography and taking a wire-assisted tumble in front of a blue screen. During the filming break, she was filmed riding a mechanical horse while wearing a full purple Batgirl costume complete with goggles and a leather jacket.
The footage is set to a song titled "Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me at All)" by Omar Apollo. In the caption, Grace wrote, "I couldn't resist."
In the comments, Grace received support from fans and friends after her work was shelved by Warner Bros. "My heart is broken - you are amazing, and your hard work deserves to be seen!" one person wrote. Another echoed the sentiment as saying, "Manifesting that you get your shot again. I was so sad to hear the news."
Warner Bros. announced the decision not to release "Batgirl" on August 2, though production on the movie had finished. Reacting to the news, Grace wrote on Instagram at the time, "On the heels of the recent news about our movie 'Batgirl,' I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland. I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process!"
Directors Billal Fallah and Adil Al Arbi were "saddened and shocked by the news." They added in their own statement, "We still can't believe it. As directors, it is critical that our work be shown to audiences, and while the film was far from finished, we wish that fans all over the world would have had the opportunity to see an embrace the final films themselves. Maybe one day they will insha/Allah."
Later in the same month, the studio held private screenings for the movie. The so-called "funeral screenings" were held on the Warner Bros. lot and only attended by the cast and crew who worked on the film along with reps and studio execs who were given invites to the screenings.
Michael Keaton, who was set to reprise his role as Batman for "Batgirl", recently weighed in on the cancellation. "I think it was a business decision. I'm going to assume it was a good one. I really don't know," he told Variety.
